Shannon Hauser is a perpetual pursuer of new adventures at UMW’s Simpson Library where she has worked since 2013. Her latest exploits include taking over the library’s makerspace, the ThinkLab, in an attempt to empower students to create the world they want to see. The root of her rabblerousing can be found in her liberal arts education at Mary Washington where she graduated with a BA in History.

Her project is to reimagine the ThinkLab website so that it is an extension of the lab’s physical space and a resource for the UMW community (and beyond) to grapple with what a makerspace can do.
