Jennifer Barry is an Assistant Professor of Religion in the Department of Classics, Philosophy, and Religion. She is also an affiliated faculty member with the Women’s and Gender Studies program at Mary Washington. Her book, Bishops in Flight: Exile and Displacement in Late Antiquity, is under contract with the University of California Press and will be available open source in 2019. Her next research project focuses on gender violence in the early Christian tradition. Prof. Barry is particularly interested in learning more about how faculty deal with, teach, and respond to rape culture in the classroom and works closely with the Shiloh project http://shiloh-project.group.shef.ac.uk/
