Biography

Jerry has been at UMW since 1999 where he began as a Instructional Technology Liaison.  In that role, he was tasked with IT support for the faculty, staff, labs and classrooms of Monroe Hall, and also provided Instructional Technology assistance when possible.  In 2006 he was one of the initial members of the newly created Division of Teaching and Learning Technologies (DTLT) with a focus entirely on supporting faculty to successfully integrate instructional technologies into their courses.  My interest was on physical teaching spaces and successful integration of installed technologies in a classroom.  In 2011, I moved to IT Support Services where I worked to create a solid technical foundation in teaching spaces by improving the reliability, dependability and support for classroom technologies.  I currently work with faculty, staff and students during building and renovation projects to design and install technologies that meet (and even exceed) their instructional needs.
